Why did Greig decide to design a new type of umbrella?
Because every time someone opened their umbrella the blunt of the umbrella would hit his head.
What is the history of the umbrella given in the text?
It said that it was made years ago for cover people from the sun with paper and then the chinese people found new material and used it to cover people from rain.
What new features did Greig design on the umbrella?
The new features the Greig added to his new umbrella were a blunt tips inside pockets, double struts and a floating rib.
What is the name of Greig’s umbrella and why did he call it that?
He called his umbrella a Blunt umbrella because it didn't have points to poke his eyes.
How did Greig test the umbrella?
He went to One Tree Hill with his umbrella on a windy storm and it went very well.
How does Greig’s work impact the world?
It impact’s the world very much because it helps people with saving money.

What field of science is Richard Hall in? And where does he work?
Richard is a Virologist. Richard works at ESR.
What does Richard do for his job?
Richard studies viruses. When your sample arrives he tests it and see’s what's its made of.
How does Richard stay safe when he is working?
He puts on a long smock to stop the germs from coming on to his clothes and a pair of gloves.
How does Richard’s work impact the world?
He stops viruses and make sure no one has got that virus.
How did Richard become a scientist?
His dad bought him a chemistry kit. He played with it for days until he wanted to become a scientist.
What different science subjects was Richard interested in as a child?
The different science subject Richard was interested in Chemistry.
Why does Richard love being a scientist?
He loves being a scientist because he likes to discover things and helping people out.
What have you learned from Richard? How do you become a successful scientist like Richard?
I have learnt that you don’t need to be good at other subjects in Science to be a scientist.

called The Magic Of Science. After I read this book I completed
these questions. The book was about a scientist named
Richard Hall and about what he studies in science and
how he became a scientist.
